This morning Nydelis and I attended "The Big Chill." We both plunged into the frigid water of Mallette's Bay to help support the Epilepsy Foundation of Vermont as all of the proceeds from the day went to that cause. I woke up this morning thinking, " What am I thinking, I'm going to freeze!" but soon realized that my plunging would help draw awareness to a great cause. In the grand scheme of things, my thirty seconds of discomfort was going to contribute to something much bigger than myself and I was more than happy to do it. All of the people at the event were very supportive and receptive to Nydelis and I. They were genuinely excited to see us, and that was an amazing feeling to walk away with. Although it was cold in the water, I am glad I took the plunge because I had a great time meeting new people and helping the foundation raise awareness.
